Wanna know a secret?  This weekend, I’ll be at the Mid-Atlantic Motorsports and RV Show in Fredericksburg, Virginia, signing copies of my  new, limited edition book, 101 Secrets of Savvy RVers: Tips, Tricks, and Hard-Earned Advice.

Since 2010, my husband, Herman, and I have logged more than 20,000 miles in a 40-foot diesel pusher motorhome, towing a car and two bicycles. Laugh and learn from our mishaps and mistakes and from the things that we have managed to do right.

Day 10: Na No-No Wri Mo for Me

It’s really Day 11. Late on Day 11, and I’m just getting around to writing something for Day 10. So let’s keep this simple.

Thank goodness I am not trying to do National Novel Writing Month, known as NaNoWriMo.

Participants start their computers at the stroke of midnight on November 1 and try to finish a 50,000 word novel by midnight, November 30. A 50,000 word book is no door stop but it is big accomplishment. Kudos to everybody who is in.

For me, it’s National No-Novel Writing Month. I can barely keep up with a daily blog. Sigh.

But I still promise to explain why Tippi Hedren loathes Alfred Hitchcock. Just give me a couple of days.

Is Self-Publishing for You?

I’m excited to say that I will join two other professionals in an informal, non-threatening workshop on self-publishing at Blackstone Coffee Company in Fredericksburg on Sunday, November 11, 2012. Bring your questions. Chat with us about our own experiences and learn before you leap. Blackstone’s coffee, baked goods, and sandwiches are delicious and we look forward to meeting you. Please register so we will be sure to prepare enough handouts. Find complete information here.
